    June 30, 2008 by ruetheday

Tripp Black Eyelet CapriYay, cheap goodies for all. Personally, I love these sales because most of the stuff I like doesn’t get bought that fast, so I get my Hot Topic stuff for about 25% of their first retail price.

  5. 5 Strangely Attractive Man Made Disasters For Vacations

    June 27, 2008 by ruetheday

Good Magazine has created a list of man-made disasters that are great stops for your vacations. As they are disasters, the trips are pretty cheap. While they sound gross, many of them are absolutely stunning.

I plan to visit the Salton Sea in the next year. The tourisism dried up and hotels and restaurants just sit there falling apart in disaray. It’s like a strange ghost town from the 1960′s.

Have you ever been to these places?

  6. Free Jack In The Box & Free 7-11 Drinks!

    June 25, 2008 by ruetheday

More freebies to announce. If you haven’t seen the commercials yet, you may be unaware that tomorrow Jack In The Box is giving away 2 free tacos as long as you bring in a gas receipt. Personally, I can’t stand their tacos, I’d rather pay to eat something else there. But, I know a lot of people like them, so if you’re one of those people, have at it. If you don’t have a car or a receipt, you can always bike to a gas station and grab someone else’s receipt. Just a thought.

I don’t know if you you all knew this, but 7-11 always has some kind of special going on their aniversary, July 11 (7-11). This year, you can have a free 7.11 ounce drink. Being as how this is the “Summer of the Slurpee” you may as well make it a yummy syrupy glass of yum.

  10. Tour Your Own City And Reel In the Savings

    June 20, 2008 by ruetheday

Get Rich Slowly suggests visiting your own town as a way to save money on travel expenses and lodging. It’s a great idea that can be a lot of fun. Be sure you do stuff you don’t ordinarily do though, or else it may seem like a normal weekend.

Personally, I’ve been thinking about going camping in the forest. San Diego’s pretty nice for this sort of thing because our county has so many different things to offer.

What’s worth visiting in your own city?
