How You Can Get A Professional Wardrobe -for Cheap

You know you’re supposed to dress for the job you want, not the job you have. But what if you’re a cheapskate and don’t want to shell out for a job you aren’t sure if you will ever get? Here’s some tips to save money when getting your professional duds.
Thrift Store!!!! To some people, this one’s obvious. To others, they envision a row of 1970’s business suits with moth holes in them. The thrift is a great way to pick up a suit, tie, shoes, skirt, etc. at a great price. Because people of all income levels, styles and sizes donate to the thrift store, there’s always a great chance that you’ll find something that suits you.
And remember that a lot of people will donate their clothes as soon as they buy this season’s latest styles, which means there’s always fairly fresh duds in there at a fraction of the cost of Nordstrom Rack.

Craigslist. -This one is iffy, but if you look, every now and then you will see someone giving away bussines clothes in your size that they don’t want anymore. It only takes a few minutes to look and it can save you a wad of cash.

eBay. -It’s like Craigslist only your chances of finding something good at a low cost are a lot better.

Target, especially if you’re a woman. Target has some very stylish clothes at a very reasonable cost and frequently have great items in the clearance section as well.

Ross. They’re similar to Target, but a lot more iffy. It’s kinda like crossing the uncertainty of the thrift store with the unused brand name products at Target.

Check for sales. If a Mervyns, Sears, etc. is having a huge sale, you can cash in and get some great looking stuff for up to 60% off.

Consignment galleries. These stores frequently have awesome vintage goods for incredibly low prices. There are three main problems though. First, many shop owners don’t know what things are worth, so you will frequently find good stuff, but it costs way too much. Second, some places don’t care about the condition. Always check for spots or rips before you buy. Lastly, because these items are generally just random things they came across, you frequently will find something really nice, but it won’t fit.
Keep these things in mind and you just might be able to spruce yourself up enough to get the job that will pay enough you won’t need to be a cheapskate. Of course, we know you still would be, but you wouldn’t have to be…and that makes all the difference.
