    June 16, 2008 by ruetheday

Life Hacker has some great ideas on how to keep the tykes happy for cheap. They neglected to mention one of my childhood favorites, letting the kids play drums on your pots and pans. Also, I loved playing with the dogs and dressing my poor kitty as a baby and pushing her in the stroller.

Also good are crafts like macaroni art, popsicle stick buildings, scavenger hunts, flower pressings, making collages, chalk drawings and playing dress up.

What were your favorite childhood activities that cost practically nothing?
