The Enquirer has a nice article about shopping with Jeff Yeager, the author of The Ultimate Cheapskate’s Road Map To True Riches. Yeager refuses to buy anything that costs over a dollar per pound and end up with a surprisingly delicious cart of dinner possibilities.
I don’t know that you should ever place hard rules on being a cheapskate, but the under a dollar per pound suggestion is a good guideline to consider.
