WOWZERS. I know I haven’t been writing on here for a while, though I really should be since it’s one of my only profitable blogs. But hey, what’s a little six months between friends? Besides, you’ll have to forgive me when you see the goodies I have lined up for you today. Free Quizno’s subs! And $20 off your next vet trip, of course, you have to be quick, they’re only giving out 80 coupons every hour between 9 AM and 9 PM EST. It is possible to get one though, I did!
More freebies to announce. If you haven’t seen the commercials yet, you may be unaware that tomorrow Jack In The Box is giving away 2 free tacos as long as you bring in a gas receipt. Personally, I can’t stand their tacos, I’d rather pay to eat something else there. But, I know a lot of people like them, so if you’re one of those people, have at it. If you don’t have a car or a receipt, you can always bike to a gas station and grab someone else’s receipt. Just a thought.
I don’t know if you you all knew this, but 7-11 always has some kind of special going on their aniversary, July 11 (7-11). This year, you can have a free 7.11 ounce drink. Being as how this is the “Summer of the Slurpee” you may as well make it a yummy syrupy glass of yum.
The Coffee Bean will be offering free Yogurt Ice drinks in strawberry and mango tomorrow, June 24. The giveaway only lasts between 4 and 5 P.M. Locations included are the company owned shops in Southern California, San Francisco, Arizona and franchised shops in Las Vegas.
Life Hacker has some great ideas on how to keep the tykes happy for cheap. They neglected to mention one of my childhood favorites, letting the kids play drums on your pots and pans. Also, I loved playing with the dogs and dressing my poor kitty as a baby and pushing her in the stroller.
Also good are crafts like macaroni art, popsicle stick buildings, scavenger hunts, flower pressings, making collages, chalk drawings and playing dress up.
What were your favorite childhood activities that cost practically nothing?

In the never ending quest of giving you a Cheapskate’s Handbook for a multitude of cities (you may have noticed it’s started with San Diego and San Francisco), allow me to introduce you to one of the most beautiful places to visit in all of San Francisco and one of the best free things to do in the city as well. The spot is also not known by many locals -let alone tourists, so it is relatively uncrowded, not to mention you’ll look really cool knowing about it. Plan to spend at least half a day here, as there is plenty to see and do. The Best Place in SF below
Looking for something to read? Boing Boing has tipped the world off to science fiction writer Lewis Shiner’s decision to put all of his novels on the net for free. The books can all be found here. Hooray!
